HAU HS Class of ’64 (As­tro­nauts) cel­e­brates 55th Re­union

Sun.Star Pampanga - - IN CAMPUS! - BY NI­COLE RE­NEE DAVID Sun.Star Staff Re­porter/Writer he Holy An­gel Univer­sity High School Class of 1964 cel­e­brated their 55th Emer­ald An­niver­sary with a home­com­ing and re­union on Fe­bru­ary 9, 2019 at Plaza San Jose, DJDN Build­ing for­merly the Main Build­ing

The high school batch, also known as the As­tro­nauts, started the cel­e­bra­tion with a Thanks­giv­ing Mass at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Holy Guardian An­gel. Right af­ter the mass, the batch had some pleas­antries at the DJDN lobby while be­ing ser­e­naded by HAU Ron­dalla.

Felixberto Espir­itu, 1964 Class Vale­dic­to­rian gave the open­ing re­marks and the wel­come re­marks was de­liv­ered by the Univer­sity Pres­i­dent Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo. In his speech, Dr. Calingo high­lighted the ac­com­plish­ments of the univer­sity over the years and stated that HAU alumni have been a big part of its suc­cess.

Af­ter which, the batch pre­sented the check do­na­tion to Dr. Calingo for their par­tic­i­pa­tion to the Sharea-Wing project of the univer­sity.

The re­union was also graced by HAU alum­nus, Mayor Edgardo D. Pam­intuan from HS Class of ’65 and to­gether with Dr. Calingo, they pre­sented the plaques of ap­pre­ci­a­tion to the alumni who un­doubt­edly have given sup­port to their batch mile­stones and sup­port to the univer­sity.

Tagged as Movers of HS Class of ’64 Re­union are Mar­cia Dimabuyu, El­iz­a­beth Edralin, Rosby Calma, Macario Tor­res, Rene Simeon, Carolina Patarata and Rosario Franco.

The re­union party brought back mem­o­ries through songs and dance mu­sic from the mem­bers of the batch. HAU val­ues the im­por­tance of its alumni who are al­ways wel­come to go back home and cel­e­brate their batch mile­stone.

Com­mis­sion on Higher Ed­u­ca­tion and Heav­enly Cul­ture, World Peace, Restora­tion of Light or­ga­ni­za­tion hold press con­fer­ence about the 2019 Peace Fes­ti­val to be held in the Philip­pine Sports Sta­dium. The fes­ti­val aims to pro­mote a cul­ture of peace & har­mony in PH to achieve sus­tain­able devel­op­ment.
