DoH launches re­gional JE vac­ci­na­tion in Pam­panga

CI T Y OF SAN FER­NANDO— The De­part­ment of Health (DOH) Cen­tral Lu­zon, in part­ner­ship with the City of San Fer­nando, launched the re­gional mass im­mu­niza­tion against Ja­panese En­cephali­tis (JE) with a kick-off yes­ter­day at the Cole­gio de Se­bas­tian cov­ered court her e.

This March, the health de­part­ment will be in full op­er­a­tion to vac­ci­nate all chil­dren 959 months of age.

The DOH said that there is no spe­cific an­tivi­ral treat­ment for Ja­panese en­cephali­tis. Vac­ci­na­tion is the sin­gle most im­por­tant con­trol mea­sure.

The DOH is ad­vis­ing the pub­lic to get in touch with their lo­cal pub­lic health of­fi­cers for the sched­ule of vac­ci­na­tions.

Royal Air Flight RW 868 leaves the Clark air­port at 12:30 pm ev­ery Mon­day, Wed­nes­day, Fri­day and Sun­day and ar­rives in Puerto Princesa at 1:45 pm. The re­turn flight, RW 869, leaves Puerto Princesa at 4:00 pm on the same days and ar­rives at Clark at 5:15 pm.
