The equipment consists of an Offset Printer for printing labels for fruit juices, sacheted or bottled products and a Corrugated Carton Box Flexo Printing Machine. The brand new equipment are housed at the Research and Training Extension Office of the university.
Angeles noted that Region III has one of the highest number of SSF projects in the country. She added that the SSF project aims to help MSMEs get access to more modern equipment to improve their production and lessen cost.
The DTI Nueva Ecija provincial office partnered with the NEUST as the university provides research and extension services on food processing under its College of Home Science and Industry. For 2018, DTI has allocated a total of P5.4-million for SSF projects on mushroom processing, drying equipment for farmer’s cooperative in Guimba, Nueva Ecija,drying equipment for the food processing of CLSU and product packaging and labeling at NEUST.
