Mayoralty bet eyes public hospital in Apalit town
APALIT - Mayoralty candidate Oscar Tetangco, Jr. yesterday disclosed his plans to put up a public hospital in this town once elected as local chief executive in the May 13, 2019 polls.
Tetangco, who served as mayor of this town for three consecutive terms from 2007 to 2016, said the planned public hospital will be an extension of the Macabebe District Hospital which is currently accommodating hundreds of patients on a daily basis.
“We are in close coordination with Governor Lilia Pineda and ViceGovernor Dennis Pineda for the realization of the public hospital and we are assured that it will materialize during my first term as mayor,” Tetangco noted.
Tetangco said that the compromise will be the local government will provide at least a twohectare lot within the town’s jurisdiction and the provincial government will shoulder the cost of the construction of the structure.
As an extension of the Macabebe District Hospital, Tetangco said that the eyed public hospital in the town will also be operated by the provincial government.
Tetangco said that the public hospital will cater to residents of this town and nearby municipalities but priority will be given to Apaliteños.
“Our role will just be as patients. This project is part of the programs of Governor Nanay Pineda and Vice Governor Delta Pineda whose priority is to always ensure the health of Kapampangans,” he st r essed .
