Mushroom and food processing equipment were provided to a university and cooperative in Nueva Ecija amounting to P2.9 million.
Sewing machines and pottery equipment were also provided to cooperatives in Sto. Tomas and Apalit, Pampanga, while the local government of San Narciso, Zambales received SSF equipment for ceramic pottery making.
Another SSF project on Honeybee processing, which benefitted indigenous people in Zambales, was also funded under the program.
Aside from these projects, additional equipment were also provided for the upgrade of Fabrication Laboratories (FabLabs) at the Don Honorio Ventura State University in Bacolor, Pampanga and at the Philippine Science High School–Central Luzon Campus in Clark Freeport, Pampanga with a total amount of P10.02 million.
The Fablabs were designed to provide MSMEs with modern three-dimension prototypes they can use in their production.---Warren
