Tumang preps more health services for Mexico folk
MEXICO, Pampanga— This town’s Mayor Teddy Tumang yesterday said that more health services are now in line for Mexico residents as the municipal government has increased the capacity of the Mexico Community Hospital and is speeding up the construction of a new diagnostic center here.
Tumang, who is running for another term, told residents of Barangay San Vicente here that the municipal government will soon open the second floor extension of the Mexico Community Hospital to accommodate more patients from this town and neighboring communities.
The 50-bed-capacity medical institution will soon be able to serve more patients as it increases its building capacity. The community hospital gets patients not just from Mexico but also from as far as Arayat, San Fernando and San Luis.
“Mexico residents will always be given prompt attention as well as patients from other areas,” Tumang assured, adding that he has ordered the strengthening of the services of the dialysis center here to further improve services. Mexico boasts of the largest government-run dialysis center in Pampanga.
Established in June of last year, the newly-constructed P70-million hemodialysis center, which stands on a 2,000-square-meter-lot in Barangay San Carlos, was funded through the local government’s annual budget supported by advanced tax payments made by mall developer SM Prime Holdings Incorporated.
