May­oralty bet sets 8-point agenda for San Fer­nando

CITY OF SAN FER­NANDO— May­oralty Can­di­date Vilma Caluag placed her gov­er­nance plat­form in an eight­point agenda that will bring a well rounded de­vel­op­ment to the City of San Fer­nando’s com­mu­ni­ties, economy and ser­vices. Caluag has an­chored her gov­er­nance in ed­u­ca­tion, health, in­fra­struc­ture, so­cial ser­vices, economy, en­vi­ron­ment, peace and or­der as well as pro­grams for cul­ture, arts, his­tory, her­itage and tourism.

“The City of San Fer­nando has diverse needs. There­fore it is nec­es­sary to cre­ate a gov­er­nance ap­proach that will cater to ev­ery need of the sec­tors and com­mu­ni­ties to be able to gov­ern well. This means get­ting into ev­ery pro­gram that has im­pact on the im­me­di­ate com­mu­nity,” Caluag said.

Caluag is ad­vanc­ing for schol­ar­ships­for vul­ner­a­ble sec­tors of the San Fer­nando com­mu­nity. He added that the con­struc­tion of more school build­ings is needed to cater to the need of a grow­ing pop­u­la­tion of stu­dents each year.
