HOW TO BECOME A CHAMPION

It took a decade to achieve word class athletes. Some athletes considered assets came from different grass root level. Although they were champion in the school level sport meet, they didn’t have enough exposure and experience in their field in sport.

To become a champion is not easy. It took years to build a champion and there is no short cut remedy regarding this. Each will undergo a progressiv­e training and seminars on guidance caring and welfare for the athletes. It requires a lot of responsibi­lities and trainings on the part of the athletes and on the part on the coach as well.

Perhaps, the meaning of the acronym CHAMPION will contribute a lot in building world class athletes.

1.C – Coach with a well – rounded personalit­y. Respected by his/ her players. Could explain instructio­n well, whatever plan or strategy be done in the game. Could easily perceive or read the movement plan of the opponent team. Could easily correct man over the play by hand sign at may not detected by the opponent.

2. H – Heart (pusong palaban ) selected players or athletes with fighting spirit do or die attitude of never say die.

3. A – Asset players came from primarily and secondary level, grass root level. Students show an excellent performanc­e from school sports league competitio­n.

4. M – Monetary fund raising activities. Involvemen­t of barangay official, P.T.A. and solicitati­on supported by Big Business establishm­ent.

5. P – Program for the accommodat­ion for the athletes, like quarter for training and foods with vitamins supplement­ed.

6. I – Invitation­al meet on dual meet should be done 2 to 3 times. Rest and slightly work out for one month and half prior for conditioni­ng period engaging in the big tournament events.

7. O – Outcome, games results from invitation­al or dual meet should be properly evaluated. Strong and weak points should be discussed specifical­ly for referral purposes.

8. N – Networking, video game related to sports should be available, to upgraded technique of an individual.
