Charges filed vs CDC police
CDC-PSD Security Manager retired Chief Superintendent Romeo Ver is now facing several charges after an incident involving the son of Philippine National Police Director General Oscar Albayalde and his security escorts.
Police Master Sergeant Jhonny Belinan, Police Corporal Jeffry Ebreo and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Pampanga Field Unit filed cases of violation of Article 359 of the Revised Penal Code (slander by deeds), grave coercion, unjust vaxation and direct assault upon an agent of a person in authority against Ver and the CDC-PSD.
The charges stemmed from an incident last Tuesday, April 2, where Ver allegedly accosted Albayalde’s son and disarmed his police escorts Belinan and Ebreo over a minor traffic violation.
Albayalde, during his Friday visit at Camp Olivas here, said that his 21-year-old son was unaware that parking is not allowed at the parade grounds, but immediately accepted his violation when apprehended by CDC police.
