A GOOD LEADER

Leadership is said to be an engagement with life itself because it demands that every individual has a unique vision which involves his/ her whole life. When people protest that they can’t lead, or don’t want to lead, they are usually thinking of management and giving speeches. Leadership is a varied as people and the main question is not whether you will be burdened but how you will challenge to escape mediocrity and conformity. Leader’s life is not a competition; it is usually a way to lead, as saying goes “True Leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders” Meaning, real leaders act what is important to all and they accept responsibility and blame no one.
One of the most important ingredient in making a good leader is “knowing yourself” meaning, you should know how to separate who you are and who you want to be. In order to become a good leader, a person must involves herself/ himself in continuous learning and never dying curiosity, have personal integrity, reinvent and compel vision, meaning, they learn from other but are not made by others. What they believe is possible then they will set about their dream. They will also believe in the ability of others. They take time off to think and reflect which bring answers and produces resolution.
In order for a leader to lead in an organization, she/ he must learn first how to serve others. A good leader must be a servant first and it usually begins with a natural feeling that a person really wants to lead. Then that person will now bring him/ her aspiration to lead. One of the characteristic of a good leader is that, she/ he has high standards of personal ethics. Meaning, she/ he can able to separate the great ones from the imposters. Second, he/ she have courage. Meaning,she/hehastheabilitytotakeriskandacceptresponsibilityforthe outcome. Third, he/ she is committed, dedicated and hardworking, meaning, they are goal oriented, they keep the organization increase efficiency.
Fourth, they are level headed people which means, they stay cool even under pressure. They aspire confidence among those in an organization. Fifth, they have the desire to help others. They also invest their efforts in the success of others. People don’t know how much you know until they know how much you care about them. Sixth, they are aware because this will help them to understand ones issues involving power and values. Being aware is not a given of solace. It is just the opposite. It is a disturbance and awareness. Seventh, Foresight, this is the ability to foresee the outcome in every situation. It is usually the characteristics which enable the leader to understand the lesson from the past and the realities of the present and the consequences of every decision for the future. Lastly, in order to become a good leader you must first become yourself and become the maker of your own life.
