OVERCOMING FAILURE

-

JANNET T. LAXAMANA

“Para kanino ka gumigising?” This is a very popular quote from a television advertisement. It has been used by so many people for whatever purpose they intend to but most of the time this is used as a start of a serious conversation on how a person is being motivated to go through the day. It is a powerful line that somehow asks the determination of an individual in achieving his or her personal fulfillment at the end of the day. In our lives we encounter situations that help us become better persons whether it is in a good or bad situation.

As we go on with our daily tasks, our goal is to succeed in everything that we do. But the bad news is that we do not always succeed, we do not always get what we want, we cannot control people all the time, and we cannot stay in power forever. In other words, we may and will encounter failure in our lives. This is the least that we want to happen but this is somehow inevitable even if we have done everything to avoid this.

Consequently, when we encounter failure we tend to easily give up. But here is the good news, when we experience failure we have to put in our heart and mind that it is an opportunity for us to arise all over again but we do that more intelligently.

In overcoming failure, we have to make sure that we stand up again and never give up for giving up is allowing our weakness to overcome in our lives instead of probing into success. For us to succeed, we have to always try to move forward to achieve our daily goals, our long term goals, our dreams for our loved ones, and our endeavors in life.
