REACHING ONE’S POTENTIALS
BLESILDA D. NAJERA
We constantly remind our students to do their best so that they will excel academically and skillfully. This is in relation to considering their personal endeavors. For them to become successful in the coming future, they have to act now and start in their education. Investment in education will have a long term result that is why sending children to school is a right. It is a preparation for them to have a brighter future ahead of them.
As mentors, we guide our students to help them reach their highest potentials. And that is to allow them to do their utmost capabilities to achieve progress. Progress in the sense of improving in all aspects for their own personal benefit without causing any harm and in the long run will lead to an upright mode of living.
Students have varied abilities. They have different ways of accomplishing tasks. They have their own mind to think of solutions to problems. They have experiences at home that could somehow show their identity and illustrate the kind of upbringing they are in. Nevertheless, whatever circumstance they are in, our students are to be trained to strive for progress, to improve the situation that is happening in their life at the moment and in the coming future. Some may not be able to achieve perfection as we guide our students but we have to make sure that we help them accomplish their goals in life like the objectives that we need to achieve in our daily lessons.
We may not produce perfect individuals from the regular learners but instead we are also doing our best to help our students excel in their own abilities and skills that would allow them to become responsible and productive citizens of the country. We should continuously discover the potentials of our students for all of them have the ability and right to progress, to improve their lives, and help in the development of the human race.
