A HAPPY WORK PLACE

Sun.Star Pampanga - - PERSPECTIVE! -

When workers find themselves smiling most of the time whenever they are working, it can be assumed that they are working in a very healthy and happy environment. This doesn’t mean that they are less productive and workloads are absent. Instead, because of many positive factors, though there is lot of work to do, they do not really feel the pressure and exhaustion.

This could be possible through many ways. To mention, we could say that the workplace is a HAPPY WORKPLACE when they workers are motivated and empowered. This is not something difficult to do. But of course, they must feel the sincerity of the leader who motivates and empowers the, Whenever workers feel that they are acknowledged for a good job and appreciated for even simple accomplishments, their morale shall be boosted. Empowering them especially those who have the potential to be leaders would also spread a happy atmosphere in the workplace. This is evident when the leader is democratic and transformational. He assures that his workers are involved in planning. He also trusts his co-workers to accomplish programs and projects with him as a facilitator behind. In this manner, workers would believe that they can because the leader himself trusts then that they can.

A happy workplace also has a familial culture. A workplace need not look like a stiff and serious place. Thus, without sacrificing their productiveness, workers could bond together and have fun by providing opportunities for extra- curricular activities or team building session to further strengthen their relationship. This creates a happy workplace as they laugh and love together as family.

Of course, none of us wants to feel that our work environment is filled with negativity. We all want to “feel at home” so we could see ourselves enjoying and growing together. Lastly, don’t forget to always spread good vibes by making things light. If you have unity, for sure, no matter how tiresome the workloads are, laughter surely is the best medicine that shall sustain the happy workplace.
