EDUCATION: A FOUNDATION OF DEVELOPMENT

Sun.Star Pampanga - - PERSPECTIVE! -

MELANIE D. TAN

As we go to school, we learn so much from our teachers. They share to us not only knowledge and skills but the attributes of becoming a good individual. This means we do not only learn how to count, we do not only learn how to spell a word, we do not only learn how to pronounce it, or how to make a complete sentence, we improve as the years pass by. Improvement in this matter is not only limited to academics but moreover for the universal development of everybody and eventually everything around us.

As individuals, we all have abilities. These abilities can become our greatest assets wherein sooner or later, when we have reached the maximum capacity of our capabilities, we can fulfill the greatest task that we want to accomplish. That is making our nation great. This is done by strengthening each and every one through education for the complete benefit our country.

Being intelligent and knowing a lot of things is not enough. Wishing and hoping is not enough. Even if we have all the positive attitude but without doing anything, it is never enough. We must apply what we have learned from the education that was shared to us. We must act in order to show that as individuals who have undergone years of learning and training in school and ultimately, we have developed the best person that we can be through education.

Education is the only thing that could make this world a better place to live in. For when everyone else in this world has undergone a proper education, then the appropriate improvement will be evident around us. Let us always keep in mind that education is an important part of a person’s life that could make him or her nurture a beautiful life in the future.
