Outshining diamonds; public schools stand higher

Cynthia M. Paulino

EDUCATION is indeed the key to success and all parents want nothing more but the assurance of their children’s future. With that in mind, the quality of school where the students gain their knowledge serves as an important role.

It has been argued over years which school is superior: public or private. Aside from miscellaneous, the most differing factor between the two, both schools proved their excellence in the academic field.

However, the public schools have caught the attention of the community by producing globally competitive 21st century learners. It is a fact that public schools are affordable which causes its overpopulation and sometimes lack of equipments or teachers.

Nonetheless, they have proved that such gaps can’t burden their will to learn. They have also received individual awards or medals in every academic field and athletic plays.

After years of struggling and judgments thrown by society, the public schools were favoured to have professional teachers who are experienced in their fields. The Department of Education along with thousands of concerned citizens’donation succeeded in creating new building and providing resources.

In fact, it isn’t about money anymore. Since, tuitions for public schools were funded by the government, it was thought that all of its student were underprivileged. But these recent years, even those with status and privilege choose public. Perhaps, more people learned to trust these schools.
