Cops undergo financial awareness training
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Police Regional Office III (PRO3), under the leadership of Brigadier General Rhodel O. Sermonia, and in partnership with the Commission on Audit III is holding a series of seminars on Laws and Regulations on Government Expenditure (LARGE) at the PANA Hall, Camp Captain Julian Olivas in this city.
A total of 180 PRO-3 personnel from the regional headquarters and provincial, city and municipal police offices of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, Angeles and Olongapo are participating in the said financial awareness seminar.
Some 135 participants already completed the training during the first and second leg held on November 20 to 22, and 27 to 29, while the third batch is set on
December 4 to 6.
The seminar is intended to address the result of the National Police Commission Annual
General Inspection held last March 26, 2019 which showed that out of 187 designated Finance Police Non-Commissioned
Officers, only two have appropriate competency training for the position as finance of f i cer.
The seminar also aims to foster efficient and effective safeguarding strategies in handling
TRAINING. Members of the Training Team headed by PRO-3 Resident Auditor Elizabeth De Vera, Regional Controllership Division Chief Colonel Noel Fermin, Regional Finance Service Office III Colonel Marlou Roy Alzate, Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division III Chief Lieutenant Colonel Nixon Cayaban, and Regional Service Training Unit III Chief Lieutenant Colonel Myles Angel Pascua during the opening ceremony for the conduct of the first batch of the 3-day seminar on Laws and Rules on Government Expenditures on November 20-22, 2019 at the PRO-3 PANA Hall, Camp Captain Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
