MASANTOL - The supposed tagging of houses for Covid-19 response conducted in Barangay San Isidro Anac here on Friday resulted to the arrest of one of the most wanted personalities of this town.

House-tagging is an activity initiated by Police Regional Office III to identify the poorest of the poor who are targetted to benefit from the social amelioration program as well those who intend to waive their share of relief packages.

During the process, police officers and representative of Patrolya ng Bayan chanced upon a 22year-old man identified as Carlito Ocampo, Jr. who has been sought by the law, according to this town's chief of police, Major Elias Tait.

"While conducting the house-tagging in Ocampo's residence, our officers noticed that the suspect, who was then still unidentified, was elusive on them which raise suspicion and prompted them to question Ocampo," Tait said.

Upon learning his identification, on-field officers immediately asked the desk officer in the station to check on the records of Ocampo.

The policemen then discovered that Ocampo has a standing warrant of arrest and listed as the 8th most wanted person in the town's Lambat Sibat pr ogr am.

"This immediately prompted our house-tagging team to immediately arrest the suspect and put him in custody," Tait said.

Ocampo was detained in this town's jail facility as he face charges filed against him in the court.
