IMPORTANCE OF ADBOARD IN ADVERTISEMENTS

Advertisement is a several broadcast of business to endorse or encourage their audience through the use of aural or film moderator, Scotch (2017). Advertisement is indeed a technique to stimulate products or even real marketing communication.

In relation to this, there is an Advertising Board Code of Ethics and it has a General Principles that an advertiser must follow. One of the organizations that meet the ADBOARD of our country is the Philippine Association of National Advertisers which proposes a Code of Ethics for every promoters or publishers. There is a statement of its general principles saying that advertising must follow the commonly recognized average of kindness and ethical visual views of one’s country, not only the laws that we already have. An advertiser must be careful to any kind of reports to prevent insulting a specific groups, organizations, class or race.

With that, following the ADBOARD Code of Ethics and its General Principles is important for an advertiser. An advertisement should promote the products that can open the mind of the public about the growth of our economy. It should not violate any other culture, beliefs or other group’s practices but shall unite our nation and shall strengthen our culture as a Filipino. That’s why it is important that people are educated about the general principles of the ADBOARD so that they will be aware if their rights are being degraded.

In conclusion, general principles of the ADBOARD will make our advertisements or commercials more relevant. We all know that advertisements as well have a role to play in our lives. Through commercials, we get to know what are the personal needs or wants of a person that is effective or trend like food, restaurants, car, hygiene’s and stuffs that can help us. Advertisements should always have a purpose or good intention that’s why it is being published because at some point it controls our lives.
