New normal

Who would have thought that we will welcome a new decade with a pandemic. This year of 2020, a new kind of virus called Coronavirus Disease (Covid) spread throughout the world. This virus can be transferred through physical contact which made us locked and stayed in our houses to prevent the spread.

Everything and everyone is affected by this pandemic. In our industry, education, we are forced to move the academic year because we cannot let it spread in our students. We cannot take the risk of harming them.

Amidst the difficulties, the Department of Education is doing its best to provide solutions to the challenges we are facing. They provided alternatives that will make learning continue even if the students are in their respective homes. The teachers are preparing for their online teaching materials and modules. They are now compiling the lessons they needed so they can give them to the students for free.

In this time of uncertainties, we must do our best and cooperate with one another. We cannot solve this problem alone. We need to practice and accept the new normal until it will become our daily habit. We may not be able to see each and everyone on a daily basis like we used to, we will stil provide the best learning methods we can. Until then, we pray that this pandemic will end soon and we will see each other again in the four corners of our classroom.
