Armor Division activates ‘Alisto’ Company
CAPAS, Tarlac – The Armor Division recently activated its Division Mechanized Infantry “Alisto” Company (Provisional) set to be initially deployed in Central Mindanao.
The moniker “Alisto” signifies speed and promptness which are expected from the newly activated unit along with its effectiveness and mission accomplishment.
Alisto Company will be operational under the control of 1st Mechanized Brigade as the division’s ready deployable augmentation force to armed exigencies and a flexibility to other mechanized units in high conflict or priority areas.
In his speech, Armor Division Commander Major General Robert Dauz motivated the unit officers to provide a clear direction and vision to their troops.
“I expect you to find ways to motivate your ‘newborn ’unit to better understand your role towards attainment of the Armor Division’s goal. I know all of you are quite anxious with your new responsibilities, unknown challenges and unfamiliar environment; but I encourage you to utilize these unmapped circumstances to springboard you to inspire each other and your troops, be role models and score higher than expected of you as infant and even a provisional unit,” he said.
Dauz likewise assured that the Armor Division will support the Alisto Company in equipping itself to become operationally prepared and mission capable. 1st Lieutenant Nicko Rey Gumpal assumed as the acting Company Commander. Additional personnel will be assigned upon completion of the ongoing training.
