ANGELES CITY --- The family of a 21-year old vendor who died of COVID 19 on Tuesday were placed under quarantine, Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin, Jr. said.

The mayor said the victim's relatives were taken to the City College of Angeles (CCA) to undergo a 14-day quarantine.

The mayor ordered the temporary closure of the Pampanga Public

Market on Wednesday to give way for a contact tracing, disinfection of the entire facility, and rapid testing of all vendors.

The local chief executive advised the market-goers and customers of Pampang Public Market to visit and patronize San Nicolas Public Market.

He warned Pampanga vendors not to transfer to San Nicolas Public Market or other places.

The mayor made an assurance that the Pampang Public Market will open only after all safety protocols were completed.

The city government had recorded 29 cases with four deaths, 23 recovered and two currently admitted in the hospital for treatment.
