In this time of pandemic, many are aware of the possible consequences of sending their children to school. Though we saw the need to continue learning, we are also aware of the danger it will bring if we will continue the usual set-up in school, the face to face learning. This situation tried us in many ways especially on how we will respond in terms of education. To continue learning, we really need to find ways on how to address the situation. This is the reason why the different learning modalities were given emphasis by the Department of Education. Distance learning is now offered to serve the millions of learners in the country.

Modular Distance Learning is one of the leading choices of parents especially in the public schools because of its convenience. Any member of the family can help the learner in studying and answering the modules. This is also flexible in terms of the availability of the family member who will help the learner because the modules are already available in their homes. Online Distance Learning on the other hand is convenient for parents who have internet connections and gadgets that will be used in the teaching and learning process. In here, the teacher is the one who will facilitate learning. This type of learning modality is more interactive because it engages learners’ participation through different technologies that they can access through the internet.

Whatever learning modality is appreciated and chosen by parents the most important thing is that learning should not stop because children continue to grow and develop as days go by.
