No schedule of SAP cash aid distribution yet -- LGU

MABALACAT CITY --The local government unit here has clarified that there is no schedule yet as regard to the distribution of the second tranche of the Social

Amelioration Program (SAP) COVID 19 cash assistance program of the national government .

The city's Gender and Development (GAD) office issued this statement after scores of residents are asking for clarification following a recent distribution SAP in Marcos Village, a village where residents are mostly Aetas.

The city GAD stated that the cash aid distribution in said village was a pilot project of the Department of the Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Luzon officen for Geographically Isolated and Disadavantaged Areas (GIDA).

The residents in said village were no longer required to register at the ReliefAgad App because of their status. "Hindi na sila required na gumamit ng ReliefAgad App dahil sa sitwasyon ng kanilang barangay."

She said they have formed a team that will help follow up on the active cases. "We created a team that will focus on monitoring those cases without outcomes yet so that we can already tag them as recovered or died," said Ver gei r e.

Among the 738 additional confirmed cases as of 4 p.m. Saturday, 560 were fresh cases while 178 were late cases.

Fresh cases are results that came out and were validated by the DOHEpidemiology Bureau in the last three days while late cases are those that were released more than three days ago but were validated only in the last 24 hours.

Of the 560 fresh cases, 212 were from the National Capital Region, 184 from Central Visayas and 164 from other regions.

Among the late cases, 85 were from NCR, 23 from Central Visayas and 70 were from other regions. (From a report by HDT/ SunStar Philippines)
