ADOPT TO ADAPT

On June 19, 2020, the Department of Education (DepEd) issued Department Order No. 012, s. 2020 which contains the ADOPTion of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) as the overall framework of the Department for School Year 2020-2021. According to the same Department Order, the BE-LCP is a package of education intervention that will enable us TO ADAPT to basic education challenges brought about by COVID 19.
Considering physical distancing and community quarantines as measures to fight against COVID-19, the education sector has felt the need for change in the learning delivery strategy due to the health risks of conventional face to face learning in schools and learning centers. The Department has introduced different strategies and modalities that may be adopted by schools as approved by Regional Directors in accordance with the COVID 19 restrictions and local conditions. Modalities to be adopted may be one or a combination of the following: 1) Face to Face 2) Distance Learning : Modular or Online 3) Blended Learning 4) Homeschooling.
Having Health and Safety of learners, teachers and personnel as one of the top priorities of the DepEd, the Department will make sure that with utmost efforts, appropriate learning modalities will be implemented with quality aided by learning resources made available to every students enrolled.
