After the sweltering heat of the summer, here comes the rainy season. That season in the Philippines typically begins in June to October as well as its welcome heavy rains, flooding, landslides and the like. Calamities whether it be man-made or natural brought out the Bayanihan Spirit of the Filipinos.

Despite of the rainy days, Filipinos are adventurous in both, dry and wet season. There are still a lot of fun things/activities to do and places to visit during rainy days. Prices are lower during rainy season, airfares on sale, travel tours are on great promo and hotels on their lowest rates. Listed are some of the best enjoyed during rainy season. On the list are water activities like surfing where riding the waves is such a great experience commonly in Baler, La Union, Zambales and in Siargao, another adrenaline pumping experience are water rafting/kayaking/ tubing with caution when there is a heavy rainfall located in Davao, Cagayan de Oro and Laguna. Indoor activities/ sports are also one of the on-the-go during rainy days such as museum tours to relive our history and learn something new, indoor wall climbing, indoor ball games, and other sports that will surely sweat you even the buzz of the cold weather. Staycation is a perfect way to relax and give rest to our mind and body while enjoying the weather. On top of the list, food tripping, movie marathons and café hopping with friends are must do during the gloomy weather.

But when the community quarantine was implemented in the country, our listed plans for rainy days or not were thrown into the air. Before we all have the freedom to go where we wish to but now as pandemic overtakes, our rainy-day agendas must be solely spent inside our homes being safe and productive with our family. A huge shift staying at home and being healthy will keep us well while waiting to be back to normal.
