BPO firm shuts down office with 2 Covid-19 employees

This was gleaned in the statement issued by the management of IQor Philippine­s dated August 20, 2020.

The call center company stated that they conducted sanitation and disinfecti­on in their affected site to protect other employees.

Aside from this, the BPO firm said it also conducted contact tracing to identify the patients' close contacts.

"In August 2020 at 4:00 AM (local time), we closed one of our sites temporaril­y for sanitation and disinfecti­on as a result of two employees in Clark 3 who tested positive for COVID 19 in the last 14 days," the firm said.

The patients' close contact are now under quarantine, according to the IQor Philippine­s management.

"Upon receipt of the test results, we immediatel­y followed through with contact tracing for both employees. We have identified persons they came in contact with and those individual­s are now in quarantine," the firm added.

iQor sites are fully disinfecte­d every 24 hours and high touch areas every two hours, the call center firm assured.

The company's service vehicles are also disinfecte­d to ensure the safety of the employees, it added.

'We apply the same rigorous protocols to our shuttle service ," the BPO assured.

The company said it enforces the health protocols set by government agenci es.

"We continue to enforce our establishe­d pandemic protocols in our facilities, which are aligned with standards communicat­ed by DOLE, DOH, CDC, PEZA, IATF, DTI and other regulatory bodies including the CIty of Angeles," the iQor st at ed.

SunStar Pampanga learned that all BPO firms located at SM City Clark are still on 15 percent workforce in line with the guidelines of the city government under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
