Mass Media

-

Mass media means technology that is intended to reach a mass audience. It is the primary means of communication used to reach the vast majority of the general public. The most common platforms for mass media are newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and the Internet. The general public typically relies on the mass media to provide information regarding political issues, social issues, entertainment, and news in pop culture.

Mass media have essential roles in shaping the morals and ethics of the society they’re in. At a very young age media have brought a lot of good and bad effects.

Through mass media we can easily abreast ourselves with the current news, affairs latest fashion and a lot more. Communication made faster and information became accessible. Mass media continuously reach people and get our attention because they have become parts of our lives. Mass media became important tools in learning.

They never fail to inform us and feed us with the current trends in our society. Oftentimes media are identified as giver of signals and clues about the things we should do or not do the things that we should avoid or strive for.

Media can push us towards something. They make us aware of ourselves and our needs. They make us understand the situation in our lives. Through mass media we become sensitive on particular issues. These are the positive points of mass media. In every positive point there are always equally negative points. Through mass media young children like me are easily exposed with different violence which should not be seen and heard by us. Eyes of young ones were gradually opened to immorality and disgrace.

Mass media are not bad at all. It just depends on how the people live with and depends on how the parents and elderly guide young ones about mass m edi a.
