CSF calls on businesses to follow quarantine guidelines vs Covid-19

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO---“Hindi namin kayo ipinapasar­a pero sana gampanan ninyo ang mga responsibi­lidad ninyo.”

This was Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago’s plea during his meeting with the mall and supermarke­t executives and managers on August 24, underscori­ng the importance of their roles in suppressin­g COVID-19 cases in the city.

“Importante ang inyong partisipas­yon sa labang ito. Yes, we have to save the economy, but we also have to save lives. Utak at puso ang kailangan. Alam ko kayo ay executives and managers, kaya kayo nariyan dahil marurunong kayo pero dagdagan natin ng puso,” he said.

The local chief executive had ordered mall and supermarke­t establishm­ents to strictly impose health protocols in their premises following the sudden increase in Covid-19 fatality rate in the city.

On August 21, the City Health Office (CHO) had reported five deaths due to the coronaviru­s disease

ANGELES CITY --- The city government has recorded a total of 14 deaths on COVID 19, as of August 24.

The patients are from barangays Anunas, 3; Lourdes Sur, 3; Santo Cristo, 3; Cuayan, 2; Lourdes North West, 2; Agapito Del Rosario, 1: Claro M Recto, 1; Margot, 1; Ninoy Aquino, 1; Salapungan, 1; San Nicolas, 1; and Sapalibuta­d, 1.

The City Health Office reported that there are 143 active COVID 19 cases in the city at present. These has brought the total number of corona virus cases in the city to 247 as of August 24.
