NCCA encourages Tarlaqueños to avail of culture, arts program grants

TARLAC CITY-- The National Commission for Culture and the Arts ( NCCA) ur ges Tarlaqueños to avail of its grants.

In a virtual presser held to call for proposals for the 2021 Competitive Grants Program, NCCA Plan/ Policy Formulation and Programming Division OIC-Chief Ferdinand Isleta mentioned the list of program categories the aspiring grantees may choose from.

"We have various programs for sub-commissions on Cultural Heritage, Arts, and Cultural Dissemination," Isleta sai d.

Programs under these sub-commissions include but not limited to historical research, literary arts, visual arts, performing arts, and museums.

Civil Society Organizations, Peoples Organization, Indigenous Peoples Organization, Individuals, Local Government Units, Government Agencies, and Schools must undergo accreditation process to qualify for the programs.

With this, Isleta asked for their partner organizations to take part in the dissemination of the programs in the province of Tarlac.

"We ask our partner organizations in Tarlac to help initiate art programs in the province," he said.

NCCA's assistance is not only limited to financial but also on the technical aspect.

"For those who have no requirements to apply for an accreditation, we have an alternative program which is the

Speakers Bureau Program wherein if you need resource speakers or experts in your art programs or consultations or your art galleries and museum we have the right persons for you," Isleta explained.

He said that this assistance can be easily requested through a letter addressed to the executive director of the NCCA at least two months before the art activity.
