Building a Positive School Climate
Ariel F. Pabustan
The goal of every school is to be the finest, to be failure-free and to make it possible that every child learns it is own abilities and experiences. The new generations of children grow up surrounded by digital media. That is why constantly modernizing teaching programs is important for learners to get different types of knowledge. They should be in the emphasis of attention. There should be variations in the way we mark learners. Education should be computerized, but most important changes should be applied in the classroom itself, in the way we manage it and in the way we establish classes. Learning is in essence, the most interesting game in life. But if we would like to implement this in education, we've to update teaching methods.
So as for an educator to achieve success, he/she has got to bear in mind that each learner may be a person, a private with its own learning method. Every learning method should be valued because there's no such thing as a disgusting learning method. Besides, the teacher should convey every learner with the option of choice and therefore the accountability for his own education. The teacher, being the key to the teaching process, should be prepared to establish a positive school atmosphere. With a positive educational atmosphere and shared trust between teachers and learners, all problems and difficulties are easily overcome. Additionally, the teacher is responsible for setting the expected rate of student achievement.
A positive school atmosphere has the following characteristics: Openness, which implies encouragement of all independent, and creative but also cynical thought. Support, friendship, unity and closeness between all the active participants within the educational process is important. Equality is also essential, which means that there should be division of accountability between teacher and learner. Truly, in management of education, we discover both the direction and the solutions of modern education system especially in this time of pandemic.
