Collaboration of Teachers in the New Normal of Education

Karen F. Canlapan

-

What is collaboration? According to Oxford Dictionary, “Collaboration is the action of working with someone to produce or create something.” In this new normal, teachers all over the country, are working hand in hand in so many ways. We may not see teachers working physically in school premises everyday, but they work from their respective homes. They are preparing and collaborating with their co-teachers to produce learning materials for the School year 2020-2021.These learning materials include: modules, learning activity sheets, laboratory manuals, power point presentation of the lessons, instructional materials to be used for their synchronous and asynchronous class. For students who chose the modular approach, the school administration and teachers work collaboratively by plotting the distribution of these modules to students.

Teachers continuously collaborate each other to make the teaching-learning process meaningful and beneficial to both teachers and students despite of our situation today. A teacher cannot work by himself or herself, there must be a collaboration. Salute to all teachers who work and prepare everything under pressure. The efforts of our teachers today are the same efforts that Front Liners are doing. Teachers are working day and night to prepare everything and make everything done before the Opening of Classes on October, 2020. The students will benefit with what the teachers are doing. The teacher’s efforts and collaboration are being seen and appreciated by students and parents.
