77-year old woman contracts Covid-19
CLARK FREEPORT --- A 77-year old woman in Capas town, Tarlac province has contracted COVID 19.
Mayor Reynaldo Lopez Catacutan said the patient is from Barangay Cristo Rey, a village adjacent to the New Clark City, which houses a quarantine facility of corona virus disease patients.
Mayor Reynaldo Lopez Catacutan said this is only active case in the municipality as of September 8, 2020.
"As of today, September 8, isa lamang po ang ating COVID 19 active case sa Barangay Cristo Rey, female, 77 years old na na-swab noong August 20 at nagpositive po noong August 22," the mayor sai d.
The patient is now confined at the Tarlac Provincial Hospital and recovering from the corona virus disease, according to Catacutan.
"Masaya ko pong ibinabalita sa inyo, siya po ay nakakapag recover na. Ibig sabihin po, being optimistic sa kanyang tuluy tuloy na paggaling at sa kanyang release po ay COVID 19 free na po ulit ang Capas," the local chief executive said.
Since the start of the COVID 19 pandemic, the mayor said the town recorded 19 cases with 18 patients recovered and one deat h.
'Magmula po nung umpisa ng pandemic, Capas has 18 cases now recovered. Isa naman po ang binawian ng buhay dahil sa komplikasyon mula sa diabetes at kidney problem," Catacutan sai d.
The mayor also reminded the constituents not to invite visitors from other barangays, municipalities and cities, and provinces during the coming feast day of Capas.
The feast day of San Nicolas De Tolentino, the patron saint of Capas, is held every September 10.
"Hindi ko naman po kayo binabawalan na magluto sa inyong mga bahay bahay. Pwedeng pwede po kayong magluto ng espesyal. Isang kilong baboy, isang kilong baka, isang kilong hipon o bahala po kayo kung marami pa. Pero sana po pagsalusaluhan niyo ito ng inyong mga pamilya," Catacutan sai d.
