RESILIENCY AMIDST PANDEMIC

Rouenn M. Rodriguez

-

In today’s era, one of the most contemporary issues of global concern is the COVID19 pandemic, which infected every country in the whole world.

The fight against the threats to pandemic suffered intense effects and impacts on almost all sectors in the human race such as travel restrictions, closure of schools, global economy, and controversies.

One of the most affected is the educational sectors. Though there are no yet specific vaccines or medicines to eliminate this disease, we need to face, accept and live in the new normal.

Community lockdown and quarantine of numerous countries have led learners and teachers to study and work from home. Such implementation caused different risks, problems and challenges to teachers, learners and parents.

In response to these situations, educational leaders decided to embrace the new normal in education which led to the different learning delivery modalities such as online-based, TV and radio based, and blended learning, and modular-based instruction.

Due to this new normal situation that we are all facing, parents and guardians are encouraged to help the learning development of their children through setting routines that incorporate time for studies through online and media sources while balancing and maximizing learning.

In this unpredictable path that we are crossing, we must learn to be resilient at all times, deal and cope with stress, stay on thinking positive deeds, and above all, put our deepest faith to our Almighty God that throughout these challenges, no matter how resentful it is, we will overcome this trials.
