Pampanga Covid cases breach 2,000 mark

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— The Province of Pampanga has now reached a total of 2, 011 confirmed corona virus cases according to the September 21 bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH) in Central Luzon.

According to the DOH bulletin, some 529 patients are still admitted in various government hospitals while 1,034 have been discharged to complete the needed 14-day community quarantine. The DOH said that 404 of the confirmed cases have already recovered while some 44 people have died of the virus since the start of the pandemic.

Most of the recorded cases are in Pampanga’s major cities and towns with densely packed population­s.

The City of San Fernando also has considerab­le number of reported cases at 393 confirmed as of September 21. Of these cases, only 74 are active. The city claims that some 305 patients have already recovered. Some 14 people have died in the city from the said virus.

In Angeles City alone, its City Informatio­n Office reports a total of 555 confirmed cases. Some 200 of these are all active cases. While the city has recorded some 330 recoveries, it is among the local government units with the most number of deaths at 25 reported cases.

Guagua town has the most number of confirmed cases among towns in Pampanga with some 160 confirmed cases as of press time.
