Since the outbreak of the Corona Virus last January 2020, the world has gone through changes that brought about by the virus which is also called the Covid 19. Thus, “new normal” was being implemented. New Normal is the going about your day to day routine with new health standard protocol procedure to be followed regarding the given situation for public safety measure. People need to wear mask and face shield to go about their daily routine, especially in the workplace to ensure that you are not going to get infected by the virus.

In this kind of situation, we need to find meaning and hope that the experts who are trying their best to formulate the vaccine that can cure those people who got infected by the virus. Meanwhile, life must go on even though there is a threat of the virus. We need to continue our work and we must go on with our life as normally as we can. Given the situation, there are so many ways in which we can express our gratitude in the new normal.

Gratitude is appreciation of return kindness given. Expressing gratitude can induce happiness and bring about satisfaction in life and optimism. It transforms a person into having the quality of thankfulness and remarkably know that being grateful can improve one's mental health. This can have lasting effects on the brain and help alleviate anxiety and depression. Also, it can strengthen the immune system; lowers blood pressure and reduces symptoms of illness. All these can help people sleep better and relaxed that will more likely help people to be forgiving.

There are so many things to be grateful in this time of New Normal. One of them is that we have experience this pandemic and we can live to tell the story of what we have learned and endured to our children and grandchildren. The children are safely inside the house and we can spend quality time without worrying so much about them spending more time with their friends or playing with computer games on the computer shop. No overtime work and more time with the family. The most important of all that we need to be grateful for is that we are still alive and trying our best to not get infected with corona virus. We all need to adjust and adapt to the new normal and make the most of what was given to us until the cure is found so that we can go back to normal again hopefully.
