Here's some good news for teaching and non-teaching personnel who have lost their jobs and, therefore, have not received salaries.

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has urged the government to provide immediate assistance to displaced teaching and non-teaching personnel under the Bayanihan to Recover Act or Bayanihan 2.

The amount of P300 million has been allocated for these people in private and public elementary, secondary and tertiary educational institutions displaced by the COVID 19 pandemi c.

The need is immediate so the government

must act quickly to address the living conditions of the affected teaching and non-teaching personnel. After all, other sectors have been helped by the government so there is no reason not to help these people who have also been severely affected by the pandemic.
