An Artist’s Point of View

Jeremae Samson

-

May it be dark or colorful, aesthetically pleasing or not, an art is an art. Novice or expert, an artist is an artist. Some are born with it, some are developed. Anyone is entitled to make himself be heard and be understood.

An artist is not an artist without his brush and his pens. Living in this modern world, he already practiced with an expensive software he purchased. Your support and admiration means everything. To some, it is just a hobby but mostly a job. And if you think that he didn’t get your instructions, tell him to revise and he will gladly obey. Don’t be rude to cancel the commission just because the art didn’t satisfy your taste. An artist is always open for judgment but sensitive to criticism. Do not break a heart just because the seventy two hour of his life had gone to waste.

Art is an escape. An anchor for a lonely artist to survive. A masterpiece that defines a person’s character for it is a window to one’s soul aside from the eye. It doesn’t matter if he got famous with his works. What’s important is he have created a piece and it takes the right eye to appreciate it. A person without passion is a person with no goal. Be free like a bird. Life is short. Do not cage yourself and limit your self-expression. Art doesn’t always have to be beautiful, it needs to be felt and to be delivered.

To be called an artist is truly an achievement. Not all are blessed to be dauntless to materialize their emotions. Art is more than its colors and patterns. It is a masterpiece that defines one’s persona for it is another window to a person’s soul aside from the eye. It is not how expensive the materials used but its beauty is in the soul of an artist.
