Normally, a kid is described as jolly, cute, self-centered and persistent. They are known as adorable when in the mood and annoying when they have their tantrums. Children used to play outside their houses or at the playhouse inside the malls. But when this pandemic arrived and the world stopped, everything suddenly changed.

Many have lost their jobs, business, entertainment and worst, lives. Indeed, life is different these past few months for everyone. Adults certainly understand the situation and can formulate actions to partially save themselves against the virus. But for a kid, a three year old specifically who’s not even aware of how the world revolves, it is a challenge for a parent to make them realize the danger that this pandemic brings.

One day, a twenty-year four year old asked a three year old kid if he is aware of Covid-19. Surprisingly, the kid answered yes and said that it is not good for humans. The kid also added, “No toys muna ako kasi wala work si daddy (No new toys for me because daddy doesn’t have work).” When his mother jokingly told him to go outside to play he automatically answered, “No mommy, may pulis labas kulong ako (No mommy, there’s a policeman outside he might arrest me!).” The child never go outside their compound alone. Wearing face mask for him is a must most especially if there are visitors around. One time, his grandmother was set to deliver soup to the neighbor, he smartly reminded his grandma to wear her face mask.

Surely, every day is a battle for each an everyone. People need to earn for a living for them to eat and pay bills every month. A lesson learned from a three year old kid, you must obey to be safe. Know your obligations and sympathize with your fellow. Covid-19 is a tough opponent but with prayer and right amount of weapon, the world will surely win this fight. If a three years old kid who is innocent and pure can be this responsible, what more for an adult like you are.
