Importance of Integrity in Service Delivery in the DepEd HR Unit.
Sam Joshua C. Bautista
Integrity is the state of being honest, fair, and the quality of being complete or whole (LearnersDictionary.com). In building a strong and reliable service, personnel need to have a vital moral principle, especially honesty and responsibility, even when no one is watching. Integrity is also one of most establishments, companies, and offices' core values, as it is the primary source of right relationship, trust, and respect among clients.
Human and Resource Management Office is the center of service delivery in the Department of Education Offices. It caters to most of the clients' concerns. As management personnel, we need to ensure the quality of our services. In providing efficient service, integrity is a must in our workplace. It is also one of the cornerstones of an excellent public servant. We have different types of clients from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon. We need to face them and respond to all their concerns with honesty and reliability. That is why we must be knowledgeable in our job to maintain a positive and reliable work environment.
Indeed, integrity leads the services to the top. It is not only beneficial to companies and offices. It is also favorable to office personnel like us. By integrating this value, offices can help foster other ethical values such as respect, honesty, teamwork, and trust among personnel and the management.
