Uniqlo, SM Foundation donate face masks to front liners
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO-Japanese clothing company Uniqlo and SM Foundation Inc. (SMFI) recently donatedAIRismfacemasksto local front liners.
The Uniqlo AIRism face masks were donated to front liners of the Jose B. Lingad Regional Memorial Medical Center (JBLRMMC), the City of San Fernando, the municipality of Mexico, and the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon.
Now that wearing a face mask has become part of our everyday life, Uniqlo developed an AIRism face mask that provides protective performance, while also being comfortable and washable. It has a triple layer structure that enhances performance, wicks away moisture, a built-in and washable filter with mesh fabric that blocks 90 percent of UV rays.
Through SMFI and SM City Pampanga, Uniqlo Philippines distributed 6,000 pieces of AIRism face masks to local front liners.
Heading the distribution of the Unqilo AIRism face masks donations are North Luzon 4 Operations Manager Andrea Madlangbayan, SM City Pampanga Mall Manager Aaron Montenegro, and Assistant Mall Manager Raquel Chua.
Information Communication and Technology Division (ICTD) head Michael Lising on September 23, 2020, is seen supervising the actual installation of internet access points in Barangay Cutud for the free internet for students for the upcoming opening of classes on October 5, upon the instruction of Mayor Carmelo ' Pogi' Lazatin, Jr.
Since the onset of the outbreak, Uniqlo Philippines initiative has been working with its long-standing foundations, charitable partners, government agencies, and other organizations to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the years, SMFI and Uniqlo have been collaborating on social good projects.
Receiving the Uniqlo AIRism face masks from the JBLRMMC was Supervising Administrative Officer Melissa Soliman.
In the municipality of Mexico, receiving Uniqlo AIRism face masks were Municipal Information Officer Dax Nathaniel Bondoc, Municipal Engineer Jesus Punzalan, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Hilario James Cunanan, Executive Assistant III Luz Bondoc and Officer Staff Joy Galang.
Meanwhile, in the City of San Fernando, Mayor Edwin Santiago, and Business License and Permit Division chief Joseph Garcia received the face masks.
At the Philippine National Police Region in Central Luzon, Police Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia, Regional Director of PNP Region, received the face masks.
