ABS-CBN teleserye will be top-billed by Gerald Anderson, Yam Concepcion, JM De Guzman
WOn October 1, 2020, the network's Star Creatives unit announced through a Facebook Live session the production of its new teleserye. Titled Init Sa Magdamag, it will be topbilled by Gerald Anderson, Yam Concepcion, and JM De Guzman. The three lead stars are currently in Tanay, Rizal for their lock-in tapi ng.
Gerald, who will play a doctor, remarked, “Very exciting story about love, family, values. Very blessed to be working again with great people.”
Yam, who is a congresswoman in the series, describes her character as “may ipinaglalaban siya pero nasa tama.” She added, “Kaya nagpapasalamat din ako sa ABS-CBN at saka sa Star Creatives sa tiwala. Four days na kami dito. I’m very grateful.
JM will play Yam’s husband. He said about his new project, “Sobrang masaya sa trust na binigay sa akin. Sana magustuhan ninyo.”
The series is expected to air on Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live anytime soon. Kapamilya Channel houses ABS-CBN programs on cable and satellite TV after Congress denied the renewal of the network’s congressional franchise on July 10, 2020.
Kapamilya Online Live is Kapamilya Channel’s online counterpart on Facebook and YouTube.
Gerald and Yam had just finished their respective series. Gerald's A Soldier’s Heart concluded on September 18, while Yam's Love Thy Woman ended on September 11.
Yam mentioned that she declined guest appearances in other networks, and would not be leaving the Kapamilya Channel.
Meanwhile, JM’s last teleserye, Pamilya Ko, ended with an incomplete storyline in March 2020. Along with other ABS-CBN programs, it took an airing break when the Kapamilya network halted production for all its entertainment programs because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, ABS-CBN did not include Pamilya Ko on the list of programs that will be given airtime on the Kapamilya Channel.
Aside from Init Sa Magdamag, Kapamilya Channel will soon air Cara Y Cruz, which top-bills Barbie Imperial, Tony Labrusca, and Heaven Peralejo. So far, after its shutdown, ABS-CBN has launched two teleseryes on the Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Li ve.
