“21ST Century Prayer”

Estepilyn P. Garcia

-

How do we pray? Even Jesus’ disciples asked him personally on how they should pray. Prayer is simply the way of talking to God. It can be done before a meal or even before going to sleep. It is very powerful. Done in the right way, prayer gets results. Has your prayer been heard? Here are very practical ways for your prayers to be answered. 1.Pray with Humility (2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV)

“…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Humility is acknowledging that God has power over you and has power working for you. Being humble also means asking God to forgive your sins before you ask Him for anything. Come to God with nothing but your faith, believing that he can do miracles for you.

2.Pray with Righteousness (James 5:16 NIV)

“16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” You become a righteous person when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior (Romans 3:22). As a result, your prayer becomes powerful and effective.

3.Pray Unceasingly (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV)

“16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Do not stop praying. You actually have a lot of things to pray for (e.g. family, work, country, etc.) Pray until you get answers. The prophet Daniel prayed to God three times a day (Daniel 6:10). What about you?

Prayer works. So pray and believe today that God will answer your prayers. What are you waiting for? Get on your knees!
