Magalang town lists 25 active Covid-19 cases

MAGALANG --- The local government unit (LGU) has recorded 25 active cases of COVID 19 as of October 6, 2020.

This brings to 68 the total number of corona virus cases in this agricultural municipality.

Aside from this, the Municipal Health Office is monitoring 7 suspect cases.

The LGU reminded the residents to report to town's corona virus watch TANOD COVID if they experience flu-like symptoms.

"Kung may nararamdamang sintomas ng COVID 19 tulad ng pag-ubo, lagnat o pagkawala ng pangamoy/ panlasa, agad itong i-report sa TANOD COVID," the local government stated.

"Gamit ang TANOD COVID, maaari ng ipagbigay alam sa Magalang LGU kung kayo ay may sintomas ng COVID 19 para agarang maaksiyunan ng lokal na pamahalaan," it added.

The municipal government asked for the people's cooperation in the fight against COVID 19.

"Sa patuloy na pagdami ng kasong COVID 19 sa ating probinsiya, kailangan po namin ang inyong kooperasyon sa ating laban konta COVID 19," the LGU stated.

ANGELES CITY --- Some 700 residents in the city's upland Aeta village received food packages from the city local government.

Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin, Jr. personally distributed the food packs to the indigenous people living at Sitios Target, Babo and Bliss all in Barangay Sapangbat o.

Lazatin said the project is in line with the celebration of the Indigenous People Month.

The city's Gender and Development (GAD), headed by Mina Cabiles, organized the food pack di st r i but i on.

Lazatin said the local government has continue providing support to the residents in the city in terms of relief goods to cushion the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic.

The City Health Office recorded 783 total number of corona virus cases as of October 6, 2020 with 33 deaths, and 478 recovered patients.

Lazatin said there are 272 active cases as of October 6.

The mayor reminded his constituents to postpone gatherings and practice social distancing and wear face covers when going out of the house.
