It is necessary to recognize frustration with the current situation and desire for improvement as similarities between requests. Each request means that there is a difference or inconsistency between what is and what should or should be. A learning or output difference between the present and the desired conditions is called a need. Training Needs Assessment in the New Normal aims in the following situations.
Solving a current problem
Avoiding past or present issues
Create or take advantage of a potential opportunity
The provision of learning, development, or growth
The purpose of TNA in this challenging time is to answer some familiar questions: why, who, how, when, and when. The following are the explanations of the questions and the research that can be carried out to answer them.
Why do virtual training: connect performance deficiency to job needs and ensure that the benefits of training are greater than the problems caused by performance deficiency. Conduct two forms of analysis to address this question: (1) needs versus needs analysis and (2) feasibility analysis.
Who is interested in virtual training: involve the necessary parties to address the deficiency. Conduct a target demographic survey in order to learn as much as possible about people interested in the impairment and how to tailor a training program to attract their attention.
How can performance deficiency be fixed: training can address performance deficiency or recommend further remediation if training is not appropriate? Conduct a performance review to assess what ability deficiency should be assessed by a training solution.
What's the easiest way to do it: is there a cheaper or favored way to do the job to achieve the best results? Are the job performance criteria set by the organization? Are there government regulations to be considered while performing the task in the appropriate manner? Conduct a task review to find the best way to accomplish this task.
When training takes place: the best time to offer training, since attendance at training can be influenced by work cycles, holidays, and so on. Conduct a contextual study to address logistical questions.
