Who said you can’t get good food from a bottle? Sure you can with homemade bottled gourmet goodies from Mamita’s!

Made from the best and high-quality ingredients, Mamita’s takes pride in its homemade Gourmet Tuyo (dried herring) and Taba ng Talangka (crab fat).

The bottled gourmet goodies were made from the kitchen of Ma. Teresa “Tess” Laus, the Laus matriarch of the LausGroup of Compani es.

“Gourmet Tuyo is a staple in our pantry prepared by my mom. It is a dish which everyone in the family likes, and given to friends. Most of the time they would request for it because they like it, too,” shared Laus’ youngest daughter Diorella.

Diorella added that their family and friends abroad would even request them to bring their homemade Gourmet Tuyo whenever they come over.

When Diorella and her boyfriend Ariel Dela Cruz visited the latter’s family abroad, they brought them Gourmet Tuyo which instantly became a favorite.

"It’s their first time to taste it and they really loved it! They even said 'tinitipid' nila para hindi kaagad maubos and they can enjoy it for a few more days," Diorella shar ed.

Even the household helpers of the Laus family loved and enjoyed their Gourmet Tuyo.

That's when she and her boyfriend decided to turn the family favorite into business.

“We thought ofsharing it to others by making it commercially available and we branded it 'Mamita’s' to honor the person who originated it, our dear mother," Diorella said.

Mamita’s Gourmet Tuyo has received numerous feedback including “The best gourmet tuyo they ever tasted,” “No more condiments needed,” “Perfect with rice, pasta or bread, you can basically eat it with anything,” “‘Di nakakaumay!”

“These kinds of comments really warm our hearts,” Diorella shared.

Mamita’s Gourmet Tuyo is made from locally sourced ingredients including the dried herring harvested by local fishermen, and the packaging from a local-based company. Organic olive oil is also used in preparing their bottled gourmet food.

“We do not use preservatives and put MSG, as well, hence customers are assured of freshness. The materials we use in the preparation are not only washed properly but also disinfected using various equipment. Also, they can be assured that our products are prepared in a very clean area – the kitchen of Mamita which is probably the cleanest and most hygienic place of our house!” Diorella shar ed.

Aside from the Gourmet Tuyo, Mamita’s also offers its equally loved pure Taba ng Talangka.

“We want to focus first with our two products. We aim for a wider reach locally and make our products available to our fellow Filipinos abroad and make them feel closer to home with Mamita’s. We were already able to ship abroad in the US and London and hopefully in more locations soon!” Diorella shared.
