Adapting to New Normal Education
Mary Ann F. Tuazon
From a modern traditional set up in education, how should we supposedly adjust to a “New Normal” set up?
Being part in the world of Education, we must consider this thought as a big challenge on how to overcome this problem, a difficult situation that must be immediately given a solution as we are trying to lift the perception of our parents and students. They should not disregard the importance of education in this pandemic time. Thinking of better ways on how to continue study without compromising our health is highly recommended such as online, modular, TV, and Radio Education.
How can we offer motivation? First, we should start with ourselves, in our hearts ? to love and understand more our work as front liners and embrace the responsibility of molding our students into becoming better people, especially in the present crisis. Motivate our minds about the importance of giving help leading to self-satisfaction that we can offer to our community. This will also definitely help us, teachers, to provide great service with eagerness and enthusiasm resulting in very active and well-motivated educators.
Responsible educators should also help in conducting report learning outcomes to parents and other stakeholders such as ensuring the proper use, maintenance, and distribution of school modules which are also parts of the factors that should be prioritized for our learners aside from online classes.
In this time of pandemic the relationships of school, teachers, parents, and learners can be compared to a big team rowing a dragon boat wherein they have to paddle the boat in a synchronized movement. All should know how to maneuver properly in making the group more productive because each member in the community has a significant role in strengthening education. Persuade in adapting ourselves to how in demand we are to our learners that could make them feel that they are really important in this “new normal education.”
