EDUCATION AMIDST THE PANDEMIC

The COVID-19 pandemic has helped us realize so many things in life that really matter. One positive thing that resulted in this pandemic is the appreciation of the importance of public schools and teachers. In this new norm, parents and guardians struggle to teach and help their children at home because of the closures of schools. With this, parents and guardians were able to appreciate the time and effort given by teachers at school. Amidst the crisis that we are facing, now is the time to allow education to arise stronger than ever before. Now is the time to help learners grow and develop a broad range of competencies and skills away from school.

Education in these trying times should have a strong system to be able to come up with powered-up schools that will provide education for all with the use of different modalities. The whole community is the best partner of schools in order to look beyond the concerns of every learners together with the help of their parents or guardians.

The support of the community at large can help empower learners in their education in spite of the pandemic that we are experiencing. There will always be effects on education in this crisis that we are facing but with the help of the parents in support to their children’s education, there will always be a promise for a brighter future ahead amidst the pandemic.
