PHOTONOTE: AN INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL AMIDST COVID-19

It has been seen that the emergence of a global movement calls for a new model of learning for the 21st century. There are multiple factors working to transform learning content and pedagogies that would enable learners in preparation to face complex global challenges (Scott, 2015).
Teachers gear in the new-normal set up in this time of covid-19 pandemic. Teachers play a crucial role in developing wholesome individuals. It becomes more challenging as there are no face-to-face classes. Teachers must equip learners to be mindful of the happenings in the world, assist learners in applying the learning in real-life situations and remind to have a heart in dealing with these situations. Teachers must also provide avenues for learners to become better and productive citizens. They must direct learners towards character building which is the “hallmark” of education.
With these challenges being faced by educators, using innovative instructional materials in teaching Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao which contributes to instilling of positive values among learners and provides quality performance to learners. The material has the combination of contents aligned to MELCs and appropriate representations. It is an educational environment used to provide information in a visual way.
Photo Note is an innovative instructional material that provides ready information, instruction and learning activities. It is a combination of concepts and pictures which encourages independence, creativity, motivation and appreciation among learners. It provides easy to understand concepts and offers appreciation and application of the lessons learned. It provides learning situations that stimulates maximum acquisition of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao knowledge. Furthermore, this material is educationally beneficial to learners as the learning package consists of different insights and knowledge about Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao and or other learning area.
