-

ACOLOR--- The Bagac Modernized Transport Services, Inc. is all thumbs up for the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter Commute as it goes for the PUV modernization program, becoming the first ever transport group in Bataan province to take commuters in a truly comfortable ride in their daily commute from Bagac to Balanga City.

On Monday at the Carworld Mitsubishi Fuso showroom here, Bagac Modernized Transport Services, Inc. President Alberto Tuvera and members of the corporation received the ceremonial key for the 10 Canter Commute units from LausGroup officials led by EVP and Chief Operating Officer Alfie M. Adriano, along with officials from Mitsubishi Fuso and Development Bank of the Philippines.

Tuvera shared that their group of consolidated 10 members have been faithful Fuso drivers since. “The engines of our traditional vehicles are Fuso.

The terrain in Bagac is zigzag that is why Fuso fits because of its rear double tires and reliable engine specifications.

That is why Fuso is our choice. Besides, people at Carworld Fuso are very accommodating and responsive.”

He stresses that for them, the convenience of driver and passengers is foremost, and in accordance with the PUV modernization. “Everything we are looking for is there. The style of the body and the seating is comfortable.”

Tuvera added that based on their scouting of other units and other brands, they found Fuso comfortable, safe, cleaner for the environment and all in line with the effort to improve public transportation and in compliance with the Philippine National Standards (PNS 2126:2017) Public Utility Vehicles Class 2 and 3 – dimensions.

The Fuso Canter Commute and Fuso Canter Express are both powered by a clean and fuel efficient yet powerful Euro 4-compliant 3.0L, in-line 4 cylinders, direct injection and turbocharged diesel engine (4M42-3AT2) capable of maximum 125 Ps and 294 N-m of power and torque, and with a 5-speed manual transmission.

“Fuso is also at tune with the pandemic. It comes with cashless system, has Beep cards as per LTFRB where payment is captured. Pricing is uniform and competitive.

We are the first in the Bagac-Balanga route and Mayor Rommel Del Rosario is supportive of our choice of Fuso. I am very sure our commuters will be happy,” concluded Tuvera. ( JTD)
