Performance Task in Technical Vocational Education

Technical Vocational Education focuses on skills and competencies intended to students for experiential learning and life-long learning. Every specialization of TVE subject consists of different activities based on the learning competencies in which students are asked to comply and participate. It is a need for the learners to participate and be active in performing their understanding level to the given topic so that they will be able to get high grades based on the criteria or rubrics given by their subject teachers.
Performance task will help learners experience the real-life situation, develop their self-confidence and determination and become more equipped, skilled and trained as competitive learners. This can also be a guide for learners to express themselves on what they really know, what they feel and what strategies and understanding they will present and perform in the given situation or scenario presented by the teachers.
The goal of the program is to produce 21st century holistic learners that can be globally competitive, preparing them to be one is through providing quality education and quality learning experiences. Learning by doing is a best strategy that can be employed to the classroom-teaching setting. Students will surely learn the relevant skills and perform the competencies needed in assessing their abilities in the lesson. This will also prepare the learners to be active and engaged in different tracks that will help them choosing the best career in their future. Exposing them with different activities and performance tasks, students will discover their potentials and vocation they would prefer in the future. Through the help of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), students can acquire the national certificate that can be used for employment purposes.
